The Village of Vityazevo
The resort village of Vityazevo is located approximately 20 kilometres north of Anapa on the shore of the Vityazevskyi estuary. In the 19th century the existed Vityazevskaya village named after the Russian-Turkish war hero, major Vityaz. Later this territory became a settlement of the Pontic Greeks whose descendants still live here.
At present Vityazevo is also known as 'Small Athens' since numerous buildings are in Greek style and Greek speech can often be heard in the streets.
The village of Vityazevo is surrounded by vyneyards. There is a small winery the production of which you can easily buy.
The village can boast of its very wide and extremely long sandy beach and developped infrustructure ideal for comfortable staying.
The heart and the main sight of Vityazevo is its specific embankment skirting not the sea but the estuary coastline and thrusting against the beach
